Description

Acrylic nails are very popular and are the strongest type of nail overlay available. If not correctly applied acrylic nails can be harmful to your client’s nails but this course will teach you how to safely apply, maintain and remove acrylic nail overlays. Due to the high demand for acrylic nails amongst clients, this is an essential skill to have or add to the services you offer.

Plus approximately 4-5 hours of self-guided/home learning.

Course time:10am – 3pm
Entry Requirements:If you do not have a Manicure/Pedicure (or similar) qualification, we recommend you attend our 1-hour Basic Manicure Skills Workshop.

Students are required to work on each other during practical sessions.

However, if you do not want to be worked on by other students then you will need to bring a model for the practical sessions.

You will gain a fully accredited qualification at the end of this course, which will allow you to get professional insurance to work on paying clients.

You will usually receive your diploma certificate at the end of your course (unless advised otherwise).

What can I do with this qualification:This is the perfect qualification if you want to work as a mobile, freelance or home nail technician, with an agency or on a self- employed basis.

Or, why not take the next step in your career and complete the VTCT Level 2 or 3 in Acrylic Nails or Nail Technology qualification. This will allow you to work in salons and all areas of the nail industry.

Do I need insurance to work:Yes.

You will need to obtain public liability insurance before you can start work as a nail technician.

Additional Instructions

You must be over the age of 16 before signing up for this training.

  • You will need to remove any nail extensions and nail polish before you attend your course
  • Towels are not provided. Please bring a small towel with you for your personal use during the course.
  • If you are pregnant we recommend you do not attend this course prior to 12 weeks or after 32 weeks gestation, or you may prefer to to wait until after the birth of your child.
  • All fees are non-refundable and non-transferable
