Entry requirements:
- No previous experience is needed
- Good standard of English sufficient to complete the course competences and online examinations
- Access to a computer/laptop for completing homework or assessment tasks.
- Students must be over 16 years old to enrol on this course
How long is the course:
- Classroom Course
- 12 weeks (and assessments and exams)
- 10.30am – 5pm (1 day per week)
- Maximum class size: 4-6 student
You will also be required to practice your skills, complete assignments and exams outside of the taught session dates. The final (external) assessment may be held 2-4 weeks after the last classroom lesson.
How will I be assessed:
- Observations and Oral questioning
- Practical Assessments and Assignments
- Portfolio evidence to demonstrate your understanding. Portfolio evidence must also be submitted as part of the assessment criteria

You will need to bring a model for the practical assessments.
At all other times students will be expected to practice on each other
What do I need to buy for this course
Whilst you are training with us we provide all the materials you will need.
You will need to purchase the uniform and a home study kit for you to practice with at home.
You will also need stationery including 2 x A4 lever arch folders and dividers to hold your portfolio evidence and course materials.
You must have access to a PC/laptop to complete written assignments and online tasks.

The VTCT Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy is a very desirable qualification that will enable you to work as a professional beauty therapist across a variety of industries. You can seek employment in the in beauty salons, spas, health clubs or in the retail sector or as a self-employed freelancer.
Combine this with our VTCT Level 3 Beauty Therapy qualification to learn a range of lucrative and in-demand treatments such as individual lash extensions, microdermabrasion, face & body electrotherapy treatments. Plus the Level 3 Beauty qualification is needed if you want to manage or open your own salon in the future.
