Entry requirements:
- Recognised Level 2 Beauty Therapy qualification (or equivalent)
- Not previous experience needed for the Combined Level 2 & 3 Beauty Therapy qualification course
- Good standard of English sufficient to complete the course competences and online examinations.
- Students must be over 16 years old to enrol on this course.
How long is the course:
- 3 months (plus exams and assessment date)
- 10.30am-6pm (1 day per week)
- Maximum class size: 4-6 students.
You will also be required to do home-based learning to practice your skills, complete your homework and online assessments as part of this course.
How will I be assessed:
- Online theory tests (multiple choice)
- Observations and Oral questioning
- Practical Assessments and Assignments
- Portfolio evidence to demonstrate your understanding

Do I need to bring a model
You will only need to bring a model for the practical assessments.
At all other times students will be expected to practice on each other
What do I need to buy for this course
- Whilst you are training with us we provide all the materials you will need.
- You will need to purchase the uniform and a home study kit for you to practice with at home. You can buy your kit from us or purchase your own from elsewhere.
- You will also need stationery including 2 x A4 folders and dividers to hold for your portfolio evidence and course materials
- You must have access to a PC/laptop to complete the written assignments and any online tasks.
What can I do with this Qualification
You can seek employment as junior beauty therapist. Or you can progress onto our Level 4 Diploma in Advanced Beauty Therapy course.
The VTCT Level 3 in Beauty Therapy is a highly sought after qualification that will enable you to work in any area within the beauty sector. You can seek employment in commercial sectors such beauty salons, spas, health clubs or in the retail sector or as a self-employed freelancer.
