Whether you need someone for one day or one month, our team will identify a suitable nail technician or beauty therapist to cover your position. Or if you have an unplanned absence or urgent cover need, call us on the day and we will work with you to get someone to you as quickly as possible.

The LAB recruitment service will take care of all your permanent and temporary recruitment needs. So you don’t have to.

Here’s how it works
Provide us with details about your temporary or permanent vacancy by completing the attached Job Vacancy Form. Or if you need the position covered on the same day, please call or email us.
Include as much information as you can on the Job Vacancy Form, as this will ensure we find the right person to join your team.

We will interview suitable candidates, take up references, check and verify employment/work status. We also carry out competency tests and an assessment of customer care skills.
Once we have completed our vetting process, we will send you the details of our recommended nail technician or beauty therapist, for you to review.

If you are happy, we will schedule a time to send the selected candidate to you, for a trade test.
Or if you are looking for several staff, we can organise a group trade test day at our location, or yours. This will allow you to observe, test and select several candidates at once.
(Additional charges will be incurred. Fees available on request.)
At the end of the trade test, you decide if the candidate(s) is right for you.
If not, we will go through the same process to find you second candidate. At no extra charge.
At the end of the day, you decide if you would like to offer them the position.
You pay the agreed Finders Fee to us.
Or for temporary agency staff, you pay the agreed hourly rate.
We send you the candidates file so you can complete your contract of employment and/or induction with your new team member.

How much is the service?
There are no upfront costs for our services
Trade Test Fee
You pay a non-refundable £70* trade test fee for each candidate we send to you separately.
if you do not appoint the first candidate, we send you a second candidate free of charge.
(*travel expense will be incurred if outside of our London area)
The candidate is expected to work on real clients during the trade test. You are not required to make any direct payment to the candidate.
Charges for trade test days (for multiple candidates) are by arrangement. Email us your requirements.
Finders Fee
There is a 20% Finders’ Fee for each candidate successful appointed to a permanent position. The Finders’ Fee is calculated at 20% of the advertised annual salary of the position to be filled. You only pay this fee if you employ the candidate.
If we refer a candidate to you, they cannot be employed by you within 60 days of the trade test day or referral date (whichever is the later) unless the full Finders’ Fee is paid.
Hourly Rates
Temporary staff are employed by the LAB agency. The hourly pay rate will be agreed with you in advance of the recruitment and paid to us each week. We pay the nail technician or beauty therapist.
If you have an agency contract with us, for a temporary nail technician or beauty therapist and you want to offer them a permanent contract, the Finders’ Fee will be become payable.

Please note that legal action will be taken where the above terms of contract are breached.
